The National People s Power (NPP) says that, under its administration, proper legal action will be instituted against those implicated, either directly or indirectly, in the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks that killed more than 250 people and injured hundreds of others. 
The 15 Sri Lankan fishermen, who were sentenced to 7-year rigorous imprisonment in Myanmar for violating the maritime boundaries, have been granted a general amnesty. 
The British government s plan for a landmark smoking ban that aims to stop young people from ever smoking cleared its first hurdle in Parliament on Tuesday despite vocal opposition from within Prime Minister Rishi Sunak s Conservative Party. 
The 31-year-old, who was arrested for allegedly singing a distorted version of the popular New Year song Sooriya Mangalle by veteran singer Rohana Beddage and sharing it on social media, has been remanded.
