A total of six flights scheduled to land at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake have been diverted to the Mattala Airport and the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in India due to adverse weather conditions. 
Sri Lanka Police has established a special hotline, 107 , dedicated for Tamil-speaking individuals to report or seek assistance regarding the prevailing adverse weather conditions, according to Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa.
(UPDATED) At least eight persons including 06 children are reported missing while two children have been rescued after the tractor they were travelling on was caught in flood waters in Karaitivu in Ampara District this evening (26). 
Inclement weather conditions have affected a total of 207,582 individuals from 59,629 families across 17 districts, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC). 
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued a Level 3 (Red) Landslide Early Warning for several divisional secretariat divisions (DSDs) in Kandy, Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts urging the residents of these areas to evacuate to safer locations.
