(UPDATED) Iranian President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi has called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, a short while ago. 
Iran stands ready to share its knowledge, expertise and experience with Sri Lanka for the progress and development of the country, including partnerships in large-scale projects, says Iranian President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi. 
President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Iran for their technical support, emphasizing that without Iran s assistance, Sri Lanka could not have diverted the Uma Oya tributaries into Kirindi Oya. 
Heavy traffic is reported in parts of Colombo as multiple roads remain closed due to the arrival of Iranian President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi.
