Leaders of the Group of Seven wealthy democracies have agreed to engineer a $50 billion loan to help Ukraine in its fight for survival that would use interest earned on profits from Russia s frozen central bank assets as collateral. 
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the second review under the 48-month Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement, allowing the authorities to draw SDR 254 million (about US$336 million). 
The online applications for university admissions for the academic year 2023'2024 will open on 14 June 2024, the University Grants Commission (UGC) said. 
The train operations on the Coastal Line have been further limited to a single track, following the derailment of a train at Panadura Railway Station this morning (13). 
SriLankan Airline CEO Richard Nuttall said that the government is on its way to privatise several state-owned enterprises as part of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program and one of those is the flag carrier of the island nation.
