Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa has reiterated that Sri Lanka s debt agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would be amended under an SJB government in the future. 
President Ranil Wickremesinghe called upon the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) and other political parties to extend their support to the government in safeguarding the agreements forged with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). 
Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel have recovered a stock of drugs including 13 kg of heroin allegedly belonging to an underworld figure, during a rain carried out near the Sri Jayewardenepura University, Nugegoda. 
The Meteorology Department say showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara and Mannar districts after 2.00 p.m.
