Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa has reiterated that Sri Lanka s debt agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would be amended under an SJB government in the future. 
Thousands of students have been evacuated from nearly 100 schools in and around India s capital Delhi after fake bomb threats were emailed to them. 
The passenger ferry service between Nagapattinam and Kankesanthurai in Sri Lanka, which resumed in October 2023 after almost 40 years only to be stopped days later, is set to recommence on May 13. 
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian Dr. Gayashan Nawananda has reportedly joined the May Day rally of the United National Party (UNP) in Colombo. 
President Ranil Wickremesinghe called upon the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) and other political parties to extend their support to the government in safeguarding the agreements forged with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
