The water level of the Kelani River has reached flood level in the Kelanimulla area, the Department of Irrigation announced. 
The acceptance of applications for the admission of students into the intermediate grades of national schools will conclude tomorrow (June 02), the Ministry of Education says. 
Major flood situations have been reported in Millakanda area of Kalu River and Pitabeddara area of Nilwala River, the Department of Irrigation said. MORE..
UPDATE- The Colombo-Kandy main road has been restored for traffic as the fallen tree at Warakapola has been cleared, the Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said.
