VFS Global, the company at the center of controversy surrounding the issuance of on arrival visa at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), has issued a statement today in response to accusations and to clarify certain concerns which have been raised. 
A Sri Lankan youth who had behaved in an unruly manner at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake on May 01 amidst a tense situation at the visa issuance counters, has been summoned to Airport Police today (06). 
The main suspect in the disappearance of a youth residing in Kuliapitiya area has surrendered to the court today (06) through his attorneys. 
All twenty-two persons who were arrested during the protest by unemployed graduates at the North Central Provincial Council building have been granted bail by the court. 
Minister of Industries and Health, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, announced that the forthcoming "Industry EXPO 2024" will grace the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) from June 19th to 23rd, under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
