The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration, Harsha Illukpitiya, who is accused of being in contempt of court after failing to enforce a court order related to the e-visa issuance process, has pleaded guilty before the Supreme Court. 
The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) says that since a maximum retail price has been imposed on rice, raids will be conducted to penalize traders who sell rice at higher prices.
