Sri Lanka and Singapore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a view to working together to promote the boating and yachting industries. 
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party s (SLFP) faction led by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva has appointed MP Duminda Dissanayake as the party s Acting General Secretary. 
In the first quarter of 2024, state revenue has reached an impressive Rs. 834 billion, says State Minister of Finance, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya. This achievement not only surpasses the projected revenue but also indicates a growth of 6%, he added. 
The Japanese Government has provided a grant of US$3 million through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), to strengthen inland fisheries and improve rural livelihoods in partnership with the Ministry of Fisheries of Sri Lanka. 
Sri Lanka s Foreign Minister Ali Sabry is scheduled to leave for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to attend the World Economic Forum s Special Meeting on Global Cooperation, Growth and Energy for Development which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 28-29 April 2024.
