The Gampaha High Court the Trial-at-Bar has deferred delivering the verdict in the case against a Brigadier and three soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army over the shooting to death of three persons and injuring several others during a protest by villagers demanding clean drinking water at Rathupaswala, Gampaha. 
Four officers were fatally shot as a U.S. marshals task force was serving a warrant at a home Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, officials said. A suspected shooter was also dead. 
MP Patali Champika Ranawaka arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday morning (30). 
The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has denounced the recent statement issued by the Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles at the Katukurunda STF training camp s passing out parade, which garnered widespread attention across various media platforms.
