The U.S. announced an agreement with the Iraqi government Friday to wrap up the military mission in Iraq of an American-led coalition fighting the Islamic State group by next year, with U.S. troops departing some bases that they have long occupied during a two-decade-long military presence in the country. 
The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has pledged its full support for the transparency initiative of the current government, the President s Media Division (PMD) said. 
The Gazette notification outlining the respective subjects, functions, duties, and institutions of the newly established ministries has been published. 
Singapore s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong have written to Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to congratulate him on his election, said Singapore s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Friday (Sep 27). 
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Senior Advocate J.M. Wijebandara as the Director General Legal of the Presidential Secretariat.
