Three persons, including an eight-year-old boy, from Sri Lanka reached the Dhanushkodi islet in India in the early hours of Monday. On information, the marine police brought them to the shore and conducted inquiries, The Hindu reported. 
A historic milestone in the Indo-Sri Lankan cultural and religious bond was marked yesterday (21) with the official launch of the Sri Ramayan Trails project at Taj Samudra in Colombo, the President s Media Division (PMD) reported. 
Former Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella and eight others, who were implicated in the alleged import of substandard human immunoglobulin vials, have been further remanded until May 06, 2024. 
The stocks of rice stored in a government warehouse in the Veyangoda area, which was to be used in the meals program for schoolchildren, have been found to be substandard, the Public Health Inspectors Union alleges. 
The Veyangoda warehouse complex has only issued rice stocks deemed suitable for human consumption by the expert committee appointed by the Gampaha Divisional Health Services Director for distribution in the school meal program, says the Presidential Secretariat.
