Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa revealed on Wednesday (24) that he intends to contest the upcoming Presidential Election. 
The court order preventing the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) from ousting its members Mahinda Amaraweera, Duminda Dissanayake, and Lasantha Alagiyawanna from their respective party positions has been extended. 
The Puttalam Quazi Court Judge has been arrested by Bribery Commission officers while allegedly soliciting a bribe of Rs. 5,000. 
Weerasena Gamage of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) was sworn in as a Member of Parliament on Wednesday (24).
