The Veyangoda warehouse complex has only issued rice stocks deemed suitable for human consumption by the expert committee appointed by the Gampaha Divisional Health Services Director for distribution in the school meal program, says the Presidential Secretariat. 
Seven persons including a child were killed while 23 others were injured following a tragic accident during the "Fox Hill Super Cross 2024" racing event held in Diyatalawa on Sunday (21). 
The organisers of the Fox Hill Super Cross 2024 motorsport racing event claim that they had assured the safety of the spectators at the event and that yesterday s tragic accident was caused by the carelessness of the spectators themselves. 
Two individuals have died after the police opened fire at a three-wheeler that failed to comply with the orders to pull over. 
President Ranil Wickremesinghe called on the Chief Prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters yesterday (21) to seek their blessings. MORE..
