At least 133 people were killed after an Air India flight crashed near the Ahmedabad airport on Thursday, according several Indian media outlets. 
An Air India Ahmedabad-London flight crashed at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad during take-off, according to foreign media reports. 
A student has died while 16 others have sustained injuries after a tree collapsed on to a school building in Balangoda, police stated. 
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday U.S. personnel were being moved out of the Middle East because "it could be a dangerous place," adding that the United States would not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. 
A total of 34 Police officers including Officers-in-Charge (OICs) of Sri Lanka Police have been transferred and assigned to new positions with immediate effect.
