As per the instructions of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President s Fund has initiated two additional scholarship programs alongside the on-going scholarship initiatives, the President s Media Division reported today. 
The Recovery of Loans by Banks (Special Provisions) (Amendment) bill, which was amended to facilitate legal provisions for the suspension of Parate Law until December 15, 2024, was passed in Parliament without amendments on Tuesday (07). 
The court order issued preventing the Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) from removing party members Mahinda Amaraweera, Duminda Dissanayake, and Lasantha Alagiyawanna from their respective positions has been extended. 
The Supreme Court on Wednesday (May 08) declared that State Minister Diana Gamage is not legally qualified to hold a parliamentary seat. 
Former Member of Parliament Mujibur Rahman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is nominated to fill the vacant parliamentary seat after the Supreme Court disqualified State Minister Diana Gamage from holding an MP seat. Copyright © 2007 - 2024 Col3neg. All Rights Reserved.
