Information has been uncovered regarding a large-scale racket of illegally importing shoes manufactured in foreign countries and selling them within Sri Lanka. 
The resumption of the passenger ferry service from Nagapattinam to Kankesanthurai has been postponed due to the delay in arrival of the vessel and meeting regulatory compliance. 
A person has reportedly died due to electrocution while engaged in preparations for a funeral in the Thihariya area in Nittambuwa. 
Police have arrested the girlfriend of the youth from Kuliyapitiya who was found murdered weeks after his disappearance. 
The Nugegoda Magistrate s Court has issued an order preventing the students and non-academic staff of the Open University of Sri Lanka and the University of Sri Jayawardenapura from engaging in a protest march near several schools in the Nugegoda area where G.C.E.
