Veteran Sri Lankan cricketer Angelo Mathews has apologized for the squad s poor performance at the 2024 ICC Men s T20 World Cup, acknowledging the team s regret for disappointing the hopes of both the nation and the team. 
A high level delegation headed by the State Minister of Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya is scheduled to visit Russia to arrange for the repatriation of Sri Lankan ex-military personnel deployed in Russia for military purposes and the related discussions will be held on June 26 and 27. 
The draft constitution, prepared by the Judge Chitrasiri Committee for the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, was presented to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat today (15). 
Sri Lanka s Rumesh Tharanga has renewed the meet record and Sri Lanka record in the Javelin Throw event after clinching the Gold Medal at the Asian Throwing Championships, a short while ago.
