An Assistant Controller of the Department of Immigration and Emigration, who was arrested for allegedly issuing three forged passports for underworld kingpin Mandinu Padmasiri alias Kehelbaddara Padme , has been ordered to be remand in custody until May 29, 2025. 
The Court of Appeal today (27) extended the interim injunction issued preventing the examination of a private plaint filed against Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) former Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva at the Maligakanda Magistrate s Court until 23 July.
