Aiming to cash on growing outbound Indian tourists, Sri Lanka and Australia have launched new initiatives to cash in on this. Sri Lankan Airlines has launched a unique package for Indian tourists- the "Ramayana Trail" that includes 50 significant locations in the country which is associated with the Hindu epic. 
The Sri Lanka Navy says that a total of 497 Indian fishermen have been arrested for violating the country s maritime boundaries so far this year. 
A person who was in possession of a large stock of cigarettes illegally smuggled into the country has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake. 
Thanjavur Police on Friday arrested three persons for an attempt to smuggle ganja to Sri Lanka from Andhra Pradesh via Thanjavur in India. Three FRP boats that were used for transporting the contraband and 330 kg of ganja were seized. 
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) states that there will be no revision of electricity tariffs for 2024, citing delays in the submission of necessary proposals by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB). Copyright © 2007 - 2024 Col3neg. All Rights Reserved.
