South Korea will set up a ministry to address the country s plummeting birth rate, president Yoon Suk Yeol announced on Thursday, calling it a "national emergency". 
Mujibur Rahman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) took path as a Member of Parliament before the Speaker, a short while ago, to fill the parliamentary seat vacated by the disqualification of former State Minister Diana Gamage. 
The Sri Lankan military veterans, who had illegally joined Russian mercenaries and subsequently escaped from such groups in the conflict zones to returned to the island, claim that around 1,000 Sri Lankans are currently fighting in the Ukraine -Russia warfront. 
The Department of Meteorology says that thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. on Saturday (11). 
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka this week, as part of his broader tour of the region from May 10th to 15th, which includes India and Bangladesh. Copyright © 2007 - 2024 Col3neg. All Rights Reserved.
